About Me

Max Weber Fellow at European University Institute
Affiliated to the “Tommaso Padoa Schioppa” Chair at Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies
PhD in International Macroeconomics, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

I am post-doctoral researcher in fiscal policy, with a focus on fiscal federalism, at the Max Weber Programme at the European University Institute. Here I am a member of the thematic group “Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa: The Design and Governance of Monetary and Fiscal Policies and Financial Regulation in the European Union” and I am affiliated to the RSCAS.

After being awarded my PhD in Trinity College Dublin, where I wrote my thesis “Empirical Essays in Fiscal Policy”, under the supervision of Professor Philip R. Lane, I joined the Fiscal Policies division of the European Central Bank as a PhD-level trainee. There I started collaborating on a research project on the price of debt in federal countries. I continued my research in this field at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca as a post-doctoral resercher, before joining the Max Weber Programme. I am also an associate post-doctoral researcher within the ADEMU (A Dynamic Economic and Monetary Union) Project at the EUI and headed by Professor Ramon Marimon.

My research interests are in the field of International Macroeconomics, Fiscal Policy and Fiscal Federalism, and International Finance.
